Urban Garden

I just want to take a minute to thank you so much for coming back to my blog I really want this blog to be something that helps people and the only way I know how to help people is to share what I've done with my life and my experiences and creativity.

So let's start this from the beginning my husband decided that he would like to grow his own vegetables a few years ago when we still lived on an Army post and a tiny little house that we lived on post it was about as barely a thousand square feet.  He built a homemade stand and began to grow lettuce kale and spinach inside of buckets and put it in our living room underneath a grow light.

Fast Ford to Present day, since that time my husband has gotten out of the Army and we have started another quest. We moved into this beautiful little house in a small town that has a very small backyard.

My husband still wanted to start a garden in our backyard but he didn't want to start a garden from the makeshift already done Garden that was in our backyard from the previous people that were in here so he began researching online and trying to figure out how he could possibly  grow vegetables for ourselves and a tiny backyard without tearing up the ground he didn't want to put it in the ground here at the house he still wanted to have a backyard so if we needed to move it we could move it.

This is the tiny garden we had to work with!

After he researched many things he decided to go in the direction of buying food grade buckets and start the process of growing a garden from a seed. Here are some pictures just to show you what we currently have our garden is still growing and we are still working on it, therefore, continue to watch our progress by following this blog.

 We Planted from seeds.

As they started popping up out of the soil, we moved them to a bigger container.
We did this in our home.

 They responded really well.
Cucumbers, squash, eggplant, onions, cauliflower, broccoli, potatoes, zucchini, tomatoes, green beans (Red and Yellow Potatoes and I might be missing a few other veggies.

We don't only use grow lights.  We use the power of the Sun!
